Ballet and the Theatre!

Here is a list of all the plays and the ballet show we have coming up soon! I can't wait to go see the Nutcracker, it makes me wish I had never stopped taking ballet. Thanks to my dad Ben and I will be seeing that in January. Just saw the theatre show A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and it was pretty funny but I still liked Priscilla, Queen of the Desert the best so far. =)

in the meantime

Until I get the pictures off my camera here is a picture of me holding onto a gun for Uncle Chip while he was showing Brie's boyfriend how to shoot a whole variety of guns haha. It was getting pretty heavy after a while.

Sorry guys

Hello Everone!

I am so slow at blogging now! But in recent news: Ben and I saw a new play at the theatre (a funny thing happened on the way to the forum), we got a christmas tree for the house, and I found a really nice charity that I'm now donating to! Hope you guys are doing well this Christmas season. =)

Love,
Allison

Video time with Ben!

Oh Hannah fo Fannah

Got to drive down (10hours...) to see Hannah two weeks ago! She showed me around Indiana University and I got to even watch an IU game with her and her parents (who were also visiting). :D College towns amuse me very much haha.

The theatre!

Went to see this very... interesting theatre show: Priscilla, Queen of the Desert! I absolutely loved it and the costumes and I would of taken more photos if we had been allowed to photograph during the play. It was a movie that came out in the 80s though if you want to look it up. I didn't think I would like it but I looooved it! =)

Glass Floors and Trains

A picture of Ben and I sticking out feet (because we didn't want to stand on the glass - we're kind of wimps when it comes to heights) on the glass floor of the CN tower. The CN tower is the tallest free standing structure in the world and it was built in the 70s! Then there is a picture of a really awesome train that used to travel all around Canada.

Rogers Center and a Moose

After visiting the CN tower, on our way down, Ben insisted that I pose with this stuffed moose and so I did. The Rogers Center was the first stadium to have a roof that opens and closes. Apparently, it takes a lot of money and electricity to open and close it for games so they rarely do anymore.

Docks by the lake

Lake Ontario is apparently the place to be in the summertime up here and now that it's later in the season all the sail boats are being put away. However, the ducks are still out on the water hoping to have some bread thrown their way haha.

Some new jackets!

I'm hoping that these jackets will get me through the winter up here. One is made of wool and cashmere while the other is filled with goose down. That oughta do it! =) (Oh and I got a hat too! hehe)

Raspberry Pickin'

Ben took me to a farm to pick some Raspberries! I love raspberries, they are probably one of my favorite snack foods, even though I don't eat them as much as I'd like to. In the last picture Ben wanted me to stand next to the quotation mark pick your own sign and stick my finger in my nose... get it? haha.

Bottled Diet Cokes

This is the first time I've seen Diet Coke in a bottle! I was pretty excited at Ben's friends restaurant when they brought us bottled Diet Coke instead of just a glass full of Diet Coke. =)

Yellow Rain Poncho

Here are some pictures of Ben and myself in front of the Falls from various angles. =)

The Falls

To start off, when we got to the viewing area of the falls there was a poor little caterpillar trying to makes its way across a sign haha. There was also a squad of police and emergency rescue people that were practicing rappelling. One of their cars was from Florida haha. Lastly, there is a picture of the Horseshoe Falls. =)

Birds and Flowers

I saw these flowers and thought of my grandma, so show this picture to her aunt linda! =) Also, there was a little bird flying around inside a Wendy's. :O I guess it was really hungry haha.

Food at Niagara

A picture of the Skylon tower, which had a great view of the falls and the whole area. We had dinner up in the rotating dining room, which was amazing. The burger is a picture of a buffalo burger which Ben had at lunch. It smelled different but Ben says the taste is almost the same.

Stan Lee

This is a picture of Stan Lee, he's a super famous comic book artist. According to wikipedia he he co-created Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, the Avengers, Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, and many other fictional characters. :O We didn't get him to sign anything but he was signing autographs at the convention.
This is the video of Ben narrating me experiencing the inside of the hyper sleep chamber at the convention! Basically I just laid down inside and when the top lowers down, you get a little flat screen tv in your face and you watch the trailer they are playing outside on the big screen. Good thing I'm not claustrophobic I guess haha.

Aliens!

They were promoting the upcoming release of the Aliens Quadrilogy coming to Blu-Ray! I was so excited about going into the hyper sleep chambers (which there is a video on!). Hehe, I love me some Aliens.

Friends at the Studio

Behind the table from right to left are:
Peter (in the red), his friend (un-named), Keith (Kei's brother), Michelle (Kei's cousin was helping out), and T-Bear (that's his nickname, his real name is Thierry). =)

Comic Convention Nonsense

We found some crazy people dressed up in all kinds of stuff! The place was full of comic books and anime. They also had that crazy Batman car from the older movies, it was pretty cool with the flashing light on the top.

Working on Sand

We even got to watch some sand sculpture artists at work, it wasn't very interesting though haha.

The Winner

This is the winning sand sculpture of the contest! They all had very tall pointy tops but this one must of won because it was the pointiest lol.

Sand Scupltures

There were some freaking awesome sand sculptures from around the world! Well the people who sculpted them were from around the world haha.

Rock Balancing

There was a guy who was skilled at stacking rocks... As you can see he was pretty crazy good at stacking some small ones and then a big one on top of the smaller ones. This is a fail picture of me trying to balance like the rocks haha.

The fair!

The CNE - the Canadian National Exhibition is a huge fair let me tell you... we walked around for a long time and we didn't even see all of the fair. Maybe we'll go again next year. =)

The Fair food!

They had some pretty interesting food at the fair, including tiny donuts!

Pinball playing!

This is another of Ben's wonderful narrative videos, hope everyone enjoys!

Boxes Galore

This woman was sitting in a cardboard box in her car. Not only was she doing that but she was also using cardboard to block the sun to prevent her from getting tanner. As Ben tells me "mainland china people are very very weird."

Peanut

Peanut apologizes for me with her cuteness for the lack of posts!! I haven't been doing much lately but I'll have tons of stuff to post after this weekend! =)

Bobby's Bday

For Bobby's birthday we all went to Tako Sushi and he really likes the lobster there. (Sorry everyone but these lobster were crazy big, I had to take a pic.) They supposedly weighed 5lbs each! Oh and Ben is really good at taking the chopsticks out of their paper covering and making a little spot for them to rest on which is wicked. Oh, and he also got a flippin' pinball machine! Terminator 2.

Dave and Busters

Went out to an arcade and food place which was awesome. First experience of a big arcade like that with classic and new games. Too bad Ben and I aren't the most skilled players out there because they had a game of my favorite movie! Aliens! Go Aliens and Sigourney Weaver!!

Young Grasshopper

Ben and I had a travelling companion as we drove from lunch back to the house. We are seeing lots and lots of these little green grasshoppers! He is probably the 3rd one we have found on my car. Crazy!
